A Vision Born on the Southern Shore
Aurelio Travels was founded in 2015 by Thushan Indika Samaraweera — a Civil Engineer born and raised in Tangalle, the heart of Sri Lanka's breathtaking Deep South. Holding a Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Labuduwa, Galle (SLIATE) and a Certificate in Surveying & Mapping from the Institute of Surveying and Mapping, Diyatalawa, Thushan brought something completely unique to Sri Lankan tourism: infrastructure-grade precision applied to travel itinerary design.
The same surveying expertise used to map terrain and assess road conditions now ensures that every Aurelio Travels itinerary accounts for coastal access windows, seasonal wildlife activity, road infrastructure, and optimal timing at each destination — producing tours that are operationally flawless from the first km to the last.
Delivering genuine inbound tourism experiences through engineer-precision planning, deep local knowledge of Southern Sri Lanka, and an authentic passion for Tangalle and the Deep South — where every journey is seamlessly planned and deeply memorable.
